our work
Our aim is to enable those with brain injury to understand their brain injury and work towards independence and living well.
Set-up in 1985, Headway Surrey is here to support adults who live in Surrey, and are over 18, who have been affected by a brain injury.
We are the only charity in the County that specialises in raising awareness of, and providing support to, people impacted by acquired brain injury.
Although Headway Surrey is affiliated to Headway UK the brain injury association, we do not receive funding from here and are financially independent. If services are required outside of Surrey, contact Headway UK to find your nearest branch.
We operate from a ground floor custom built, fully accessible Reablement Centre in North Road, Guildford. It is eco-friendly (producing solar energy) and the money saved on energy goes back into our services!
The Centre is comfortable, light and airy, and provides us with an excellent working environment providing a safe space, training and study work area, a confidential quiet room, a kitchen, a garden, and admin offices.

We are passionate about helping people live well after brain injury and our team will help you from the moment you engage with us. With expert knowledge and understanding, wellbeing support and practical advice we are here to help at any, and every stage.
Every person is unique, every brain injury is unique and we support the whole person. Whether it’s 1-2-1 support, helping connect with others, creating artwork at our centre or joining our online coffee morning from home, we have a range of activities that work with each person to help rebuild their lives within a safe space.
