Alexandra grew up in Surrey and started volunteering with Headway in 2023 by supporting the Walking & Talking groups (now Nature Connections) while retraining as a Speech and Language Therapist. She graduated in September 2024 and became a Headway Trustee in November 2024.
In the summer of 2018, Alexandra’s mother, who also lives in Surrey, had a life-changing stroke, and the family experienced a steep learning curve as they navigated the healthcare and welfare systems and rehabilitation opportunities available.
Alexandra can therefore relate both personally and professionally to some of the many challenges facing Headway clients and caregivers and she fully appreciates the invaluable guidance, support, and social interaction the charity provides.
She has a background of 25 years of project managing arts and auction events and, in 2008, set up an art advisory business. In her free time, Alexandra is learning Italian and gardens under her mother’s expert supervision. She is also an enthusiastic aunt, godmother, dog owner, and cook.
