Clare joined Headway Surrey in July 2026 after 9 years in the role of specialist teacher for children and young people during their rehabilitation placement following an acquired brain injury.

During the 32 years she has spent working as a teacher in Surrey, Clare has been employed in a variety of settings ranging from a city farm, adult education, primary schools and, for the majority of her career, in a number of special schools.

Having studied metalwork at Camberwell School of Art, Clare continues to have an interest in the creative arts and particularly enjoys visits to galleries and the theatre.
She has always loved animals and spending time outdoors.
