Kat Howard is our Counselling Manager after joining in 2020.  She is a fully qualified accredited Counsellor and a Brain Injury Case Manager.  She is a member of: BACP, BABICM, APIL, KABIF, SABIF, UKABIF.

Her passion at home and at work is brain injury. Kat started her career in brain injury in 2001, becoming a brain injury case manager in 2010 and a qualified counsellor in 2019.  She has a great working knowledge of those affected by brain injury.

For counselling Kat prefers a humanistic, integrative and relational model which focuses on self-development, growth, responsibility and self-empowerment. She has specialist training in loss, trauma, suicide awareness and bereavement. She has also been a long-term volunteer for St. Winifred’s Hospice, Sussex and a Trustee of The Silverlinings. Kat and the counselling team offer a safe space to enable change without judgement.
